Sweat/Suit Review

Nelly
Sweat/Suit
****
Okay, I must admit I was worried. I didn't think a CD would be that good if it was released the same day as another.
I've never been a big fan of Nelly ... just not my type of music. It happens when you grow up with your mother ALWAYS being in charge of the radio. But I figured, what the heck, I'll go and get the new Nelly CDs anyway.
I enjoyed them both but Suit is my favorite of the two. It is more of a love song album than the upbeat Sweat. Lusty R&B jams take turns with tender odes to the family. It's totally enjoyable.
Suit includes cameos from such artists as Snoop Dogg, Tim McGraw, Ron Isley, Pharrell, Mase and T.I.
As much as I like it, Suit has its share of good and bad songs. Personally I didn't like "My Place" or "N Dey Say." Yet I really enjoyed "Pretty Toes," "In My Life" and "Die for You."
My Favorite song is "Die for You." It's emotional, sweet and rare, about love for a son.
So really Sweat and Suit aren't the best CDs ... not in my top five of all time. But considering the fact that they were released on the same day, they're really not bad.
If you like Nelly, and R&B songs. I recommend you check out his new albums. Even if it's not your type of music, give it a shot like I did! You just might enjoy it. You never know if you don't try.
